Winterizations

Winterizing your system is a requirement that can’t be overlooked or you will risk damage to the system and its components, and the life expectancy of your system will be threatened.

Our winterization visit is a quick visit and ensures that your system is turned off properly and will be ready for next season.

The winterization process involves turning off the water supply to the sprinkler system and connecting a hose from our air compressor to the proper winterization valve in order to completely purge all of the remaining water contained within your irrigation system. If all the water in the system is not removed in a timely manner, as the weather gets colder the water inside your system will freeze and expand, resulting in damage to the components of the system.

If you have not had your backflow checking recently we can also do that for you during your winterization appointment. Your backflow prevention device keeps your system’s water from getting back into your drinking water supply and it should be tested annually to ensure all parts are working properly.
